Gov. Henry McMaster Replaces Membership of S.C. State Election Commission

Governor Henry McMaster announced four appointments to the five-member South Carolina State Election Commission. The appointments replace all four members of the commission serving in expired terms of office. A previously vacant seat on the commission will remain vacant until further notice.
“The electoral process in South Carolina will be well served by this talented group of leaders," said Gov. Henry McMaster. "Each of them brings a unique and professional level of experience in the democratic process, a firm belief in the rule of law, and an unwavering commitment to the sanctity of the ballot box. I’m grateful for their willingness to serve, as they will be critical to maintaining public confidence in the conduct of elections in our state.”
The four new appointments to the Commission are:
Cliff Edler, 60, retired from Orient Overseas Container Line and lives in Mount Pleasant
Amanda Loveday, 33, is a senior project advisor at NP Strategy and lives in Columbia
Scott Moseley, 50, is the owner of Irmo Insurance Agency and lives in Chapin
John Wells, 63, is an attorney with Baxley, Pratt, and Wells and lives in Elgin
