The Greenville Chamber, along with several community partners, distributed 10,000 masks to small businesses, and plans to distribute more than 30,000 more.

The initiative began as a partnership between the Greenville Chamber and US&S Facility Services to donate 10,000 masks to Upstate small businesses. Since the MASK UP program launched, BMW Manufacturing, Hubbell Lighting, IVC and Sonfast Corporation donated a combined 32,000 more face coverings.

In addition to those who contributed PPE, the Simpsonville Chamber, CommunityWorks and both the Augusta Road and Downtown Merchant Associations have joined on to lend marketing support to the cause.

“We, along with these generous community partners, understand that a healthy community leads to a faster and more robust economic recovery,” said Carlos Phillips, Greenville Chamber President/CEO. “We’re overwhelmed by the support this initiative has garnered from the entire community as we equip small businesses with the PPE they need to offer safe environments for customers, clients and employees.”

The Greenville Chamber and US&S Facility Services team delivered the first 10,000 masks to small businesses on July 9th. Small businesses and nonprofit organizations that sign-up by July 15th will receive masks on July 23rd.
