Monday, September 28th, 2020
Registration is now open for the 12th Annual TreesUpstate Turkey Day Virtual Run, presented by Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas. With the health and safety of the community and participants in mind, TreesUpstate's Annual Turkey Day Run is changing direction and going VIRTUAL!
Thanksgiving morning is the most run holiday and TreesUpstate is encouraging the entire Upstate community to RUN, TROT, or WALK this Thanksgiving.
All race registrants will receive a Race Shirt and AMAZING coupons and giveaways from Publix, Fleet Feet, Sidewall Pizza, 13 Stripes Brewery, Bridge City Coffee, Dagger, Goodr and Performance Therapy. Each registrant will also have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive Turkey Day Energy Saving Trees giveaway presented by Duke Energy, on Friday and Saturday 12/4 and
12/5. We will have 1,000 1-gallon eastern redcedars reserved on a first come first served basis, at our Arbor Day Tree Giveaway.
Run, Trot, or Walk anywhere! For those participants that need a little help on figuring out where to go, links will be posted on the website to a few 5k courses throughout the Upstate. But you can run anywhere in the world! The virtual race opens up on Thanksgiving Day. You have until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday 11/29 to complete your race.
TreesUpstate’s Turkey Day Virtual Run will benefit TreesUpstate - a non-profit that has planted and given away over 16,000 throughout the Upstate. This race is their annual fundraiser. 100% of the funds raised are used to plant and care for trees in parks, greenways, schools, and neighborhoods in throughout the Upstate.
