Subaru of America, in partnership with Fairway Subaru in Greenville, provided funds to Meals on Wheels. This gift will provide over 4,592 meals for the homebound in Greenville County. The gift comes from Meals on Wheels America in partnership with Subaru of America and Fairway Subaru, as a result of the 2018 Subaru Share the Love Event. From November 15, 2018 to January 2, 2019, Subaru donated $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to a charity chosen by the customer, including Meals on Wheels, as a part of Share the Love.
“Community support is vital in allowing our team to continue providing nutrition and human interaction to the homebound individuals in our community,” said Amanda Osborne, Director of Development at Meals on Wheels of Greenville. “Such a generous financial contribution as this supports our goal of combating homebound isolation in Greenville County. We are grateful to Subaru and our local partner, Fairway Subaru, for this continued and generous support.”
For over ten years, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have supported the mission of Meals on Wheels by funding community-based programs dedicated to fighting hunger and isolation. Since its inception, Subaru has helped to deliver nearly 2 million meals to America’s senior and homebound community.
