Anderson University Program to Bridge Digital Skills Gap
Tuesday, June 30th, 2020
Anderson University today announced the launch of its online Digital Marketing Science Certificate (DMS) program, in partnership with GreenFig, a market-driven education company that provides universities with turnkey experiential programs in applied business science that upskills adult learners and working professionals.
“We target our professional development offerings to meet the increasingly high-tech needs of today’s organizations,” said Andria Carpenter, director of professional and lifelong learning at Anderson University.“Through our partnership with GreenFig, we are excited to offer working professionals an innovative Digital Marketing Science Certificate.”
At the heart of GreenFig’s pedagogy is a mentored apprenticeship-like experience where students are guided by skilled industry practitioners to solve real-world business challenges for real-world brands. Learners develop a playbook of fully executed projects and gain skills using live-production instances of leading business applications. In the new Digital Marketing Science program offering, learners will be working extensively in three technologies: Google Analytics, Google Ads,and HubSpot.
The demand for digital marketing skills has doubled, according to a recent study by Burning Glass Technologies, but almost halfof U.S. employers say they are unable to find the skilled people they need to compete.
“As our economy becomes progressively data-driven, preparing today’s workforce to meet these demands is one of the most pressing issues institutions face,” said Sara Leoni, CEO of GreenFig. “Adult learners at a rate of 7-to-1 are now required to develop a digital mindset that incorporates universal skills in order to be prepared to use and manage technology that coders and robot-builders have created. We are thrilled to partner with Anderson University and to set working professionals on the path that fosters career mobility.”
Enrollment for the 10-week program at Anderson Universityis open now and classes will begin monthly on a rolling basis, starting September 8, 2020. For more information or to enroll apply, please visit www.greenfig.com/schools/dms/anderson.
