Nancy Whitworth, of Greenville, Joins the SCDOT Commission

Nancy Whitworth, of Greenville, has been sworn in as the new South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Commissioner as a Governor’s At-Large Appointee. She replaces Kristen Blanchard who resigned from the commission in February 2020.
Whitworth was the deputy city manager and director of economic development for the City of Greenville before retiring in January 2020. Her responsibilities with the city included commercial and neighborhood revitalization, downtown development, business recruitment and retention, planning and building codes.
